The Cobb Schools Foundation Gimme 5 for Education Annual Campaign will take place March 19-23 to help fund education opportunities to elementary, middle and high schools in Cobb County.
This is the 12th year the Cobb Schools Foundation has held the Gimme 5 for Education Annual Campaign by asking for a gift of $5 to the Foundation through employee giving, community giving and individual campaigns held at all 112 Cobb County School District schools. The local schools have the opportunity to raise funds for specific needs within their schools that would not otherwise be funded.
According to Greg Talsky, President of Cobb Schools Foundation, “We at the Cobb Schools Foundation are constantly striving to engage our business leaders in the Cobb community to help support and advance education programs for Cobb schools. ”
Since 2006, Cobb Schools Foundation has sponsored the Gimme 5 for Education Campaign to raise funds to support all of the 112 schools in Cobb County School District. Through partnerships like with the Credit Union of Georgia and other fundraisers throughout the year, the Cobb Schools Foundation has financially supported specific needs in schools. Among the support: After School Program (ASP) scholarships for students in need; SAT prep classes for high school juniors; senior scholarships; and, Teacher IMPACT Grants to support innovation and creativity in the classroom.
