Cobb Schools Foundation 4th Annual Leaders and Legends Ball a Success!

Sheri-BranteA[1]The Cobb Schools Foundation hosted the 4th Annual Leaders and Legends Ball presented by Cisco on February 6 at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center. This annual black-tie event honors outstanding alumni and individuals who have made significant contributions to education in the Cobb County School District. Event Co-Chairs Earl Reece, Ji Hyun Kim, and Carole Kell recognized this years honorees: Valery Voyles, CEO of Ed Voyles Automotive Group; CCSD Educator Tom Mathis, Sr.; Margie Hatfield, Past President of the Eastern Cobb County Council of PTAs; and Ken Rodriguez, WAGA Fox-5 Sports Anchor. The event included a wonderful program with Kennesaw State University’s Vaughn Williams serving as the Master of Ceremonies and George Franco of Fox-5 serving as auctioneer for the live auction. Entertainment was provided by the Wheeler High School Orchestra and students Carlton Kell of Dodgen Middle School and Sydney Schulte of Kennesaw Mountain High School. Proceeds from the event benefit the programs and projects of the Cobb Schools Foundation. The Cobb Schools Foundation supports teaching and learning in the Cobb County School District. Since its inception in 1999, the Foundation has been gifting and supporting Cobb staff, students, and schools.
